BOOK BUCK$is the Herald's FREE award-winning program that motivates students to build reading skills by using the newspaper with their families.
During BOOK BUCK$ week, February 23 - 27, 2009, students will receive free copies of the Herald in their classrooms.
When they read the newspaper and complete family activities at home each evening, students will earn BUCK$ (play money) which they can "spend" on prizes offered by stores all around town.
The prizes will be listed in the Herald's eagerly-awaited "Cool Stuff Catalog" on Friday, February 27.
This year, your students will be on board to explore The News World.
The unique itinerary for this voyage includes exotic ports of call, including
Hometown Harbor, Cape Classified, Comics Cove, Showbiz Bay, and more.
